The S Laad Group is in the process of laying the foundations of a Rural Dairy project with the primary aim to promote economic interests of the milk producers of the Hubli- Dharwad area particularly those belonging to weaker sections of the village community by procuring and processing milk into milk products and marketing them. The S Lad Group will be undertaking establishment of milk plants and marketing of milk products. It will also extend technical guidance to the dairy farmers in all spheres of personnel, technical, marketing and financial management as well as make them quality conscious, through use of modern methods of laboratory testing of various products.
The Group is fermenting its plans of opening a sugar plant in Karnataka and has diverse interests in Sugar, Power, Industrial Alcohol, Heavy Organic Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Bio-fertilizers & Agricultural Research. It plans to manufacture more than twenty products from renewable resources, thereby forming an entire Value Chain right from Sugar Cane to Sugar to other value added products like Power, Ethanol, Bio-fertilizers etc.
